LA METRO FACILITIES CONDITION ASSESSMENT

Project Description

RSE was selected to provide engineering support to conduct facility condition assessments that will provide LA Metro with improved capabilities to maintain a State of Good Repair (SGR). RSE's assessments will also provide information to LA Metro to fully respond to Federal Transit Administration (FTA) final Transit Asset Management (TAM) regulatory requirements. These findings will be entered into the National Transit Database (NTD) regarding asset inventories, conditions, performance, and prioritization of SGR projects to renew existing assets.

Scope of Services

The Facilities Condition Assessment services RSE performed, involve high-level inspections to assess current conditions of LA Metro facilities assets.  Rating and reporting of asset conditions, consistent with the FTA’s TAM performance requirements, was used to determine the State of Good Repair of each asset. This information will be used to facilitate long range capital planning for continued operations.  Assessments will be performed in three separate phases, with Phase 1 encompassing 71 initial facilities.
