Project Description

Under this planning study, RSE provided alternative studies for the integration of High-Speed Rail into Metrolink’s commuter rail network at Los Angeles Union Station (LAUS). RSE staff worked closely with Metrolink, High Speed Rail (HSR) staff, Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), and local agencies to prepare various track and station alternatives to minimize impacts to downtown redevelopment areas, historic buildings, existing transportation corridors, and existing metro services.  RSE’s scope of services included rail/transit design, roadway design, and construction cost estimates.
